SHOW US YOUR 'HOT WHEELS'
On May 18, 1968, the Mattel Toy Company introduced the very first 16-car collection of Hot Wheels...
Ironically, that was just about the same time the LHS Class of 1971 turned 16 and we began to acquire our own 'Hot Wheels'...
Since then, all of us have had multiple cars and, like anything else, some of them turned out to be our all-time favorites...
That said, we'd like you to send a photo of one of your cars...
Your first one...
Your favorite one...
Your current one...
Basically, any one of the cars you have had over the years...
Just send the photo - and a brief description of the car (Make, Year, Model and when you owned it)- to John Close at -
Don't worry about the condition of the photo... John will 'clean them up,' title them, and then pass them on to Sue Piarulli who has promised to turn all into a special display for our reunion weekend Friday-Saturday, October 16-17...

St. Joseph School Class of ’67 Reunion
Set For Thursday, October 15
LIBERTYVILLE, IL - It’s going to be a big night for the ‘Knights’ when members of the St. Joseph School Class of 1967 get together on Thursday, October 15 at Mickey Finn’s in Libertyville.
The now traditional St. Joe’s ‘Mixer’ will again kick off the Libertyville High School Class of 1971 Reunion schedule.
The St. Joseph Class of 1967 event is free to attend and will begin at 6:00 p.m.
Mickey Finn’s Brewery is located at 345 N Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville. Mickey’s features a full bar and restaurant menu for attendees to choose from at their own expense.
A St. Joseph School Class of 1967 group photo will be taken sometime around 7:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the formal LHS 55th Class Reunion will take place on Friday, October 16 at the Libertyville Civic Center while Saturday’s reunion events will be highlighted by a sit-down dinner, music and dancing at Dover Straits Restaurant in Mundelein that evening.

NO INCREASE IN PRICE FOR
55TH LHS CLASS OF 1971 REUNION
It seems like the price on just about everything seems to be up these days, so it gives the LHS Class of 1971 great pleasure to announce this year’s 55th LHS Class of 1971 Reunion will be the same cost as our ‘Cheers 51’ in 2022.
That’s right – No price increase for this year’s reunion scheduled for Friday – Saturday, October 16-17.
Here’s the breakdown.
Friday Schedule –
The 6:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m. ‘Meet N’ Greet’ event at the Libertyville Civic Center will feature a Pizza, Salad and Dessert Buffett…
There will also be Music, Door Prizes, and best of all, the friendship of your 1971 LHS classmates…
The individual cost of Friday’s Meet N’ Greet is $30 per person…
Note that as in the past, there will also be a Cash Bar (Sorry, no cards) at the LHS Civic Center throughout the evening Friday…
Saturday Schedule –
Dover Straits in Mundelein will play host to our LHS 55th Class Reunion beginning with Registration at 5:00.
Dover Straits will features a full Cash/CC bar all evening beginning with Happy Hour at 5:00 p.m. to be followed by class photos at 6:00 p.m.
A 7:00 p.m. sit-down dinner will be followed music, dancing, and conversation all set to end at Midnight.
The cost of Saturday’s LHD 55th Dinner / Party / Reunion is $50.00…
Opt in for both nights of the reunion and you’ll get an additional $5 discount - total discounted cost to you for both nights is $75.00 – the same as it was at our 50th reunion…

As always, you can also pay at the door for either night of the reunion - but remember that pre-registering and pre-paying means you won't have to spend any time standing in line waiting to pay at any of our reunion weekend events.
We also appreciate you pre-registering and pre-paying as this will give the reunion committee flexibility in scheduling / reserving specific portions of the reunion that require pre-planning, venue deposits, and reunion supplies.
